Bianca Umali and onscreen partner Miguel Tanfelix postponed their planned vacation in Japan to give way for a new extension for another season of Kambal Karibal. In her 18th birthday party, Bianca also received an all-expense paid trip to Japan from Miguel.
In an interview with PEP.ph, Bianca revealed that Kambal Karibal only used to be a filler show for The Cure.
Bianca always wanted to go to Japan as her dream vacation. However, because of another Kambal Karibal extension, they had to postpone it. In the said interview, Bianca also revealed her positive feelings on the extension.
“Masaya po kami na nabigyan ulit ng extension ang Kambal Karibal. Nagugulat na lang po kami sa magagandang feedback ng show namin. Nakakatuwa ang mga sinasabi nila sa show kaya binibigay po namin ang the best parati.”
Bianca shared that they didn’t expect the extension. She continued that Kambal Karibal only started as a filler show for The Cure. They only had a three months worth of script at the start. Then, they had an extension and another extension and another extension.
“Hindi po namin ini-expect na tatagal kami sa ere. Nagsimula kasi kami bilang filler show kasi hindi pa ready noon yung teleserye na The Cure. Kumbaga po, hanggang three months lang kami talaga. Pero noong ma-extend kami hanggang April, natuwa kami kasi may trabaho pa kami. Tapos, na-extend ulit kami hanggang June naman po. Kaya happy kaming lahat kasi ang ganda po ng ratings namin.”
Bianca shared that the last news they had another extension. She counted it as a blessing so it would be okay for her to postpone a vacation.
“Then, itong huling news sa amin, extended na ulit kami, kaya sobra-sobra ang blessings namin. Kaya okey lang po na ipagpaliban namin ang bakasyon. Importante po na may trabaho kaming lahat at masaya kaming magkakasama sa set.”
