UNIQLO announced their Uniqlo U 2018 Fall/Winter collection. The collection features a vivid fall and winter color palette and designs with in-trend volumes. It will remain elegantly timeless. Meanwhile, the collection will also showcase diverse ideas which symbolize the reinvention of basics as the future of LifeWear.
LifeWear
UNIQLO made LifeWear specifically designed to make everyday wear more comfortable. This came from Japanese values of simplicity, quality and longevity. This continued to evolve to cater to the needs of an ever-changing and heavily scheduled through technological innovations.
The collection features accented reds and fuchsias to symbolize the coming of fall. This season, the style emphasized the volume of dolman (loose cloak with capelike sleeves) for women’s fleece blousons and boxy silhouettes for men’s fleece jackets. Men and women’s items exude comfort and relaxation.
Knits
This season, wholegarment technology is used for 3D knits with beautiful silhouettes which exudes comfort. They used a special spinning technique resulting to raised looks and soft textures in sweaters and dresses. Wholegarment is a seamless knit product which Shima Seiki developed. This yields comfort and draping effect and provides value-added products with greater design flexibility compared to traditional knitwear products.
