Rosemarie Gil currently stars in the new Kapamilya series Ngayon at Kailanman as the matriarch of an empire. Their Kapuso rival, Onanay, features her daughter Cherie Gil.
The Kapuso star has an Instagram account entirely devoted to Lavinia Arguelles, her role in the 1986 classic Bituing Walang Ninging.

In the said Instagram account, she throws water at different celebrities after Cherie tells them the iconic line, “You are nothing but a second rate trying hard copycat!”
The most recent post from the account has Rosemarie and Cherie re-enacting the said scene, but with the latter at the receiving end of the famous ‘buhusan’ scene.

Ngayon at Kailanman vs Onanay in TV Ratings
August 20: Cherie’s opening line to her mother was a swipe at her show Onanay edging out Ngayon at Kailanman in the ratings,
According to NUTAM PPL PRIME, Ngayon at Kailanman fell slightly behind its competition with 11.5% ratings. Meanwhile, Onanay won the ratings game with 11.7% ratings on August 20, Monday.
On the other hand, Kantar Media ratings showed that Ngayon at Kailanman debuted strongly with 31.2% while Onanay earned 17.3%.
August 21: What happened on Day 1 is far different from the data obtained of NUTAM PPL PRIME. The latest ratings from AGB Nielsen NUTAM data shows Ngayon At Kailangan (12.1%) edging out with 1.2% advantage versus its rival show Onanay which only got 10.9%.
On Kantar Media, Ngayon At Kailanman recieved 30.5% rating beating Onanay with only 18.6%.
