  • She has to learn different and new techniques so it does not affect her throat

Regine Velasquez sat again as an interviewee in ‘Tonight with Boy Abunda’ on Monday.

The Song Bird shared a lot of revelations. In one of this, she said that she has vocal training with Kitchie Molina.

She explained, “I just needed to learn what I’ve learned before. Kalimutan ‘yung mga naaral ko na and then ‘yung ibang part alalahanin ulit. Kasi ‘nung nanganak ako, you forget.”

She finds difficulty in setting aside what she learned and the techniques she’s done because according to her, it doesn’t fit her anymore.

“Ang pinakamahirap sa akin ‘yung kalimutan ‘yung nakasanayan ko na. (Kalimutan) kasi it doesn’t fit me anymore because I’m older and my voice is different, my throat is different. So I have to learn a new technique,” she shared.

She has to learn different and new techniques so it does not affect her throat.

“I have to do different techniques so it’s doesn’t burden my throat so much but I can still do it in some songs but pinipili ko na ‘yung ibang ganun,” she continued.

During the interview, she even sang the difference between the old technique she learned and the new techniques she’s using now.

She may apply these techniques during her upcoming concert this February 14, 15 and 16 with Vice Ganda at the Araneta Coliseum entitled “The Song Bird and The Song Horse”.
