The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is an annual film festival that focuses in promoting Filipino films from December 25 (Christmas) through the first weekend of January in the following year; and recently Netizens took online their wish of a Coco Martin-Angel Locsin tandem in an MMFF entry.
They even suggested for a plot that the King and Queen of Action-Drama could work on. The hashtag #CocoAngelMovieForMMFF trended online.

Both artists haven’t had a chance to work for a film together but they had a short appearance via an episode of ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’ back in 2015. That particular episode had a special two-part tribute episode dedicated to the fallen 44 officers who died in the Mamasapano clash in Maguindanao. It focused on the lives of two Special Action Force members and the circumstances that led to their untimely demise.
Also, last year, Locsin revealed that she has been waiting for Martin to be her leading man.
The two made abuzz online, especially on Twitter as Netizens expressed their wish for a Coco-Angel tandem in the upcoming MMFF 2019. In fact, some already suggested possible plots for the film project.

Many jumped in and expressed their support for the tandem, and even Kris Aquino suggested am OCEAN’s movie or Mission Impossible-type of plot.
She captioned her post, “And 7th, @montie08 maniningil ako for this concept: MMFF 2019 perfect combination @therealangellocsin and @cocomartin_ph in an action movie with cross over appeal, like the OCEAN’s movies or Mission Impossible.”
