A press conference of ‘Maledicto’ was held on April 4, 2019. Tom Rodriguez, who is the lead actor in the movie Maledicto, talks more about the movie. Despite his hectic schedule, because he has taping sessions on the series ‘Dragon Lady,’ he still managed to attend the press conference.
‘Maledicto’ a horror-thriller movie directed by Mark Meily and is co-produced by Cignal Entertainment and Unitel, and the first venture of Fox Networks Group Philippines in producing local content (films). The movie will be released in cinemas on May 1, 2019.
Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Miles Ocampo, and Inah de Belen are also part of the movie. The movie is about Father Xavi (played by Tom), a former psychologist who reluctantly gets into exorcism, after the tragic death of his sister, Mara (Inah de Belen). He then meets Sister Barbie (Jasmine), a young nun who has the gift of charism.
And together, they work on the case of Agnes (Miles Ocampo), a seemingly perfect teenager who suddenly starts manifesting demonic behavior, which rocks the foundations of the church.
“I felt weird when I was garbed in priest vest and at the same time, honored ako habang suot ko ‘yun. I also have to learn to speak Latin,” Tom said
Everyone on the confab was shocked when someone asked Tom if he had a leaked scandal and he answered “Sana walang lumabas.”
