Ana Ramsey reaches new heights as she bares the struggles of a conflicted heart in the official launch of her new song and music video titled “Tahan” under Star POP.
The new Kapamilya singer shared that she got goosebumps when she first listened to “Tahan.”
“Three songs were initially presented to me but when I listened to this song, I got chills. I was able to immediately recall the chorus, and I really found it beautiful,” she said.
The 24-year-old DJ, who also has a handful of talents under her belt—such as singing, songwriting and hosting—isn’t new to the music scene.
In 2010, Ana joined “Star Power: Sharon’s Search for the Next Female Pop Superstar,” while in 2014, she proved to be an unstoppable force by winning the gold medal at the 2014 EuroPop Festival in Germany.
Unknownt to many, the new Star Pop artist is also the granddaughter of the late Queen of Rock and Roll Elizabeth Ramsey and the niece of the Queen of Soul Jaya. And just like them, she has also been gifted with a distinct sound and an oozing appeal that certainly deserves a larger audience.
However, although pressure certainly comes with being related to successful performers, Ana doesn’t mind. “There’s pressure because they’ve made a mark in the industry and they’ve done amazing things, but I want to follow their footsteps when it comes to singing and inspiring people through music.”
