QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES, February 17, 2020 – The search has finally come to a close as TFC introduces 12 fresh faces of global Filipinos as the stars of TFC Calendar 2020.

During the final quarter of 2019, the online hunt for the TFC Calendar Star was launched via the live streaming mobile application, Kumu. A weekly segment on the said app hosted by TV personality Kaladkaren showcased the candidates who candidly share their interests and quirks to their viewers.

The contest was open to overseas Filipinos of legal age based in countries around the Asia Pacific, except the Philippines. There were 1,140 Filipinos from countries across the Asia Pacific who joined the online popularity contest on Kumu. Engagements in the form of virtual gifts from their audience are converted to points that were tallied at the end of the contest period. The top contenders with the most points were hailed as winners who will be featured in the printed TFC Calendar 2020 as well as its digital version published monthly on TFC Asia. Each of the calendar boys and girls also received a jewelry gift from TFC.

Singapore residents Leonard Allan and Mark Angelo are this year’s Mr. January and Mr. February. The 2020 lineup is completed by Ms. March – Richiel Ann Fernandez of Hong Kong, Mr. April – Grandel Cuevo of Australia, Mr. May – Dave Kobayashi of Japan, Ms. June – Vilma Bedania of Hong Kong, Ms. July – Noldine Mae Alo, Ms. August – Glyzele Mae Chan of Taiwan, Mr. September – Janbert Belotindos of Australia, Mr. October – Kirk Eugene Minoso of Thailand, Ms. November – Renalyn Alnas, and Mr. December – Noriaki Shirai Jr. of Japan. Using their individual Kumu handles, they’ve earned their popularity in the app’s community through creating their own content and gimmicks that would attract an audience.

Mr. April, Grandel Cuevo, shared his joy and surprise for being one of the winners. “I didn’t expect to win since I was just new on Kumu. Someone encouraged me to join the campaign, TFC Calendar Star. Now, we’re here… I won and I’m Mr. April,” he says.

To be part of the online community and join upcoming TFC contests, download the Kumu app available on iPhone and Android phones. Keep updated with the latest news and promotions via www.mytfc.com or follow TFC Asia, TFC Australia, TFC New Zealand, and TFC Guam and Saipan on Facebook.
