The Kapuso network is bringing back some of its top-rating teleseryes on primetime television, including Barbie Forteza and Ken Chan’s Meant To Be.
The GMA Network recently decided to halt the production of live entertainment shows and ongoing teleseryes as the government imposed a Luzon-wide community quarantine to control the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Meant To Be will re-air from Monday to Friday in the 9:30 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. timeslot.
The 2017 hit romantic comedy series is about four guys of different racial and cultural backgrounds, who fall in love with the same girl (Barbie).
They will compete against each other for her love.
Aside from Barbie and Ken, Meant To Be also stars Jak Roberto, Addy Raj, and Ivan Dorschner.
Other GMA-7 top-rated series that returned to primetime include Encantadia, Kambal, Karibal, and My Husband’s Lover.
These shows replaced Descendants of the Sun, Anak ni Waray vs Anak ni Biday, and Love of my Life, respectively.
The popular drama fantasy series Encantadia starred Kylie Padilla, Gabbi Garcia, Sanya Lopez, and Glaiza de Castro. It premiered on July 2016.
The acclaimed 2017 drama supernatural series Kambal, Karibal starred Bianca Umali, Miguel Tanfelix, Pauline Mendoza and Kyline Alcantara.
The show served as a breakthrough series for Bianca and a debut series for Kyline.
Meanwhile, Dennis Trillo, Tom Rodriguez, and Carla Abellana starred in the controversial telerserye My Husband’s Lover that premiered in June 2013.
The drama romance series was the first gay-themed teleserye on Philippine television.
