Kapamilya star Julia Montes is rumored to be joining the cast of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano soon.
According to an article by Salve Asis in Philstar, Julia is set to be Coco Martin’s new leading lady in the long-running Kapamilya action drama.
In the article, Asis said that Julia will become Cardo Dalisay’s new love interest because Alyana (Yassi Pressman) will be eventually paired up with Lito the character played by Richard Gutierrez.
“Yup, ayon sa chika, ito raw ang magiging bagong leading lady ni Coco Martin dahil si Yassi Pressman daw ay napupunta na ngayon kay Richard Gutierrez base sa development ng five-year old teleserye ni Coco,” wrote Asis.
However, the news of Julia joining Ang Probinsyano is not new as it was previously rumored in 2019.
In a previous interview, Ang Probinsyano lead star and director Coco Martin said everyone is welcome to join the show but there is the right time for everything.
“Actually, lahat naman ng mga artista na puwede makatulong sa show, siyempre kami naman ‘yung lumalapit sa kanila.
“Siguro may tamang pagkakataon,” Coco said.
Julia went on a long showbiz break but she already made a TV comeback with the ABS-CBN sci-fi mystery drama 24/7.
However, the show was halted following the quarantine restrictions of the pandemic and the ABS-CBN shutdown.
He last project prior to her break was Asintado in 2018 with Shaina Magdayao, Aljur Abrenica, and Paolo Avelino.
Her last project with Coco Martin meanwhile was the movie A Moment in Time in 2013.
