Star Magic artist and Sunday Noontime Live host Jake Ejercito was caught off guard by his brother Jinggoy Estrada when the latter suddenly brought up his past with Maine Mendoza.
In a Pilipino Star Ngayon article, Jinggoy was reported to have made his brother Jake speechless during his Facebook live interview.
According to the article, Jinggoy asked Jake if ever he would do a project or a film, who would he wanted to work with.
In response, Jake said that he really would like to work with Liza Soberano and also mentioned loving to work with Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla because he’s a fan of the two Kapamilya stars.
Jinggoy then asked if he also wants to work with Maine Mendoza but teasing Jake that Maine already has a boyfriend, Arjo Atayde, now.
“Kaya lang may Arjo Atayde na raw kasi si Maine. ‘Pero ano yung ipinakita mo sa akin nun?'” said Jinggoy according to the article.
Jake went silent for a moment and then asked his brother not to start issues and intrigues about him.
Jake and Maine were rumored to be dating before but there was no confirmation from both of them. It was during the Kalyeserye days when Jake was added as the third party to AlDub.
While rumors were strong back then, the two chose to remain mum about it because AlDub was a strong force back then which could backfire on Jake knowing AlDub fans.
Meanwhile, Maine is currently happy in a relationship with Kapamilya actor Arjo Atayde. Jake on his part has not openly shared any news about his love life.
Currently, he’s working as a co-host of the Brighlight Production’s Sunday Noontime Live which airs on TV5.
