“Failon Ngayon” was short-listed in the Domestic Current Affairs Documentary category for its “Island of Boracay 2” episode that featured the demolition of illegal resorts on Boracay island, following an episode that exposed the said irregularities.
Ted, on the other hand, was nominated for the International TV Personality Award along with other outstanding broadcasters from around the globe.
Now on its ninth year, the international award-giving body recognizes most inspiring and creative storytelling across radio, TV, and online.
Meanwhile, in Failon Ngayon’s 4th anniversary episode this Saturday (November 9), Ted looks back on three of the program’s most significant episodes that uncovered illegal drugstores, the faking of documents in some police precincts to justify that crime rate in their area has decreased, and the alleged inefficiency of traffic enforcers.
