On October 18, 2015, Sunday– the search for Miss World Philippines 2015 has just concluded with results that could make others agree or disagree since beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
In the Philippines beauty pageants are taken seriously not only by candidates and organizers but the viewing public is also an active participant in events like these. Many young women dream of joining beauty contest and winning crowns whether in small town or Barangay level or on televised national beauty competition. The desire of most women to be among the prettiest is a status symbol that only a beauty pageant crown and sash can fulfill.
The Miss World 2015 Philippines on GMA network just presented a world class pageantry that showcases 26 lovely Filipinas. Selected for their beauty, talent and character these lovely ladies undergone strict scrutiny from chosen par excellence judges from various field of interests.
The chairperson for the board of judges is Bench head honcho Ben Chan. Judges also includes, well-known personalities such as ex-governor Chavit Singson, Atty. Felipe Gozon of GMA network, current Marimar star and Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Miss World Philippines franchise owner and director Cory Quirino, producer Arnold Vegafria, Flint Carl Richardson of Solaire Resort and Casino, Venezuelan actor and Rosalinda leading man Fernando Carillo, Kathleen Dy-Go of Universal Records, Valerie Weigmann- former Miss World Philippines for 2014, Gov. Angelito Colona, former senator Migs Zubiri, tourism expert Vic Alcuaz, Jose Mari Abacan of GMA Films, Fila president Ms. Cris Albert, Zen Institute owner Dr. Mary Jane Torres, Ma. Francesca Tan- CEO of MFT Groups, Gov. Angelito Colona, Col. Ricardo Nolasco and Celine Matias.
Miss World Philippines hosts Tim Yap and Iya Villana are very enthusiastic and did an excellent job. Iya Villana looks ravishing in her sequenced lace beige long gown while Tim Yap as the fashionista that he is dressed classy in his suit. Anchoring for the evening is Miss World 2011 1st runner up winner Gwendoline Ruais.
The Miss World Philippines candidates enjoyed their stay in Ilocos where they visited amazing places in this northern region of the country. They took some grand time enjoying the scenic beauty of Pagudpud and marveled on fun outdoor activities.
During the Miss World Philippines swimsuit competition parade the candidates wear geometric inspired stylish one-piece swimsuit by Roxanne Manuela Swimwear. While on their colorful swimwear the pageant contestants are being serenaded by singing duo the Perkins Twins.
The ladies now sashay on the stage with simple and elegant plain colored gowns which were chosen by their exclusive stylists. The theme for the Miss World Philippines long gown competition is Hollywood glamour that features gown in mostly serpentine cut and with embellishments in neutral black, beige and red colors only.
