Members of the AlDub nation have a reason to be excited. GMA Network President and COO Gilberto R. Duavit said that Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza and Alden Richards will most likely have a tv program together. Not only that, Duavit said that they have more projects for the AlDub love team.
The good news was revealed by Duavit in the broadcasting network’s quarterly briefing for the third quarter (3Q) of 2015.
Duavit did not reveal the exact details, but here’s what he said: “Aside from the prospects of a television program involving both of them together, there are other plans in discussion or in the pipe.”
Pressed for details regarding his statement, Duavit did not give any. Instead, he quoted Lola Nidora’s famous line, “Sa Tamang Panahon”.
AlDub fans have been looking forward to a tv program starring Alden and Maine, aside from their daily split screen romance on Eat Bulaga’s Kalyeserye. Now, it seems the network has been listening to AlDub nation all along.
The phenomenal love team is even featured in the network’s station ID. That alone gives the AlDub fans a reassurance that the network has more plans for the love team.
AlDub has swept the country by storm, ever since the love team was accidentally formed during the July 16 episode of Eat Bulaga’s “Juan for All, All for Juan”. Recently, the AlDub phenomenon has been featured in international news and media sites like BBC, Bloomberg, ABC News, and Buzzfeed, among others.
