Three Female Celebs clap back at People calling Them ‘Bakla’

Nowadays, people have become sensitive to using euphemisms to avoid offending someone on social media.

However, many still use gay or “bakla” as a derogatory term to offend a person, and worst of all, they use it to demean both gay people and women.

Thankfully, some celebrities are ready to clap back at those who incorrectly labeled them as gays and showed love and support to the LGBTQIA+ community.

Ruffa Gutierrez.

In one of her Instagram posts, a Netizen bashed the beauty queen-actress Gutierrez for portraying her character in Love Thy Woman.

Using the term gay in a derogatory manner, the Netizen said, “Ang pangit ng character mo sa LTW para kang bading.”

“Bakit, pangit ba ang mga bading?” Ruffa responded with a query.

The Netizen continued, “Hindi. Sa lahat ng bading ikaw ang pangit. Para kang bading umarte. Real talk!”

As a result, Ruffa fired back, defending gays and accepting the remark as a compliment, “Lol gurl, I love badings, and they love me back! So thanks for the compliment, sister! Now buzz off!”

Janine Gutierrez.

Kapamilya actress Janine Gutierrez encountered a Netizen who used the term gay in a derogatory context and referred to her photo.

The Netizen wrote, “Mukha ka na pong bakla.”

Janine replied with a witty clap back, “A compliment!! Ang gaganda nilaaaaa!!!!

“Mas maganda pa sila sakin!!”

Nathalie Hart.

In her interview with Vice Ganda in Gandang Gabi Vice, Nathalie Hart recounted her experience in a bar wherein a guy mistook her sexuality.

“Nandun ako sa LA and then may lalaking lumapit sa akin. So, binibigyan nya ako ng drinks nung una.

“Tapos sabi nya ‘you know what, you look so great. Like where did you have your surgery?’ Akala nung lalaki bakla ako. I was/ really stressed.

“Nagalit ako. Sabi ko, ‘Ano ka ba, babae nga ako,'” said Hart.

Recently, Hart came under fire from Netizens for her insensitive remarks toward members of the LGBTQIA+ Community as she portrayed in a Maalaala mo Kaya episode.

Members of the LGBTQIA+ community are proud and fierce people who find themselves confident in expressing their identity and sexual orientation.

However, the country still has a lot to work on in respecting the sexual orientation of a person. Sometimes, it is nice to see people correcting and educating others in the funniest way possible like these three local actresses.
