Since the rise of the phenomenal loveteam AlDub, many became interested in buying company shares from GMA Network, But because of unexpected bigtime earnings, GMA Network is No longer for Sale!
“The owners have decided they want to focus on growing the business. In short, they don’t want to sell at this point,” GMA Network Chief Executive Officer Felipe Gozon said during the company’s Christmas Party last December 9, 2015.
Earlier, GMA Network did not proceed the transaction with businessman Ramon Ang of San Miguel Corporation to get thirty four percent (34%) shares of the company. And recently, the bid of People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao and Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson in buying some shares of GMA Network was also rejected just like the others.
GMA Network expects to have more than Two (2) billion net income at the end of the year as they’ve already exceeded their target.
“We have exceeded all our targets as of December 9, 2015. Our company is in strong financial position as we continue to dominate the nationwide ratings”. Felipe Gozon said.
For the first nine (9) months of 2015 GMA Network already have a net income of P1.8 billion, compared to last year’s net income of P1.010 billion for the entire year of 2014.
As per the GMA Network Chief Executive Officer, they have defeated the rival network ABSCBN in Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement ratings which draws more advertisers for the network.
“We are also expecting better revenues from political ads versus 2010, considering that rates are higher this year and considering also our current lead in NUTAM (Nationwide Urban Television Audience Measurement) ratings”, Felipe Gozon added.
2015 is definitely a good year for GMA Network, specially the rise of the phenomenal loveteam “AlDub” which greatly affect GMA Network’s rating standings. They also believe that they can sustain their financial success for the next more years.
