A lot of people like them. Some people hate them. Whatever your feelings are for the phenomenal love team of Alden Richards and Maine “Yaya Dub” Mendoza a.k.a AlDub, one thing is certain: it continues to make headlines here and abroad.
To prove my point, here are some important facts about (almost) everyone’s favorite love team:
1. During Eat Bulaga’s “Tamang Panahon” charity concert at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, the duo garnered no less than 41 million tweets.
This surpassed the previous AlDub Twitter record of 26 million tweets that happened when Alden visited Maine at Lola Nidora’s mansion on September 25, 2015.
It was also way above the 35.6 million tweets when Brazil faced Germany for the World Cup semi-finals on July 8, 2014.
