Bea Alonzo’s transfer to GMA Network earned her mixed reactions from different people. However, the most she received were attacks toward her decision to leave her former home network.
As a result, showbiz news reporter Lolit Solis came to Alonzo’s defense.
Through her Instagram, Solis called out the people who specifically mentioned the actress on their rants after her transfer to GMA Network, those who questioned the actress’s loyalty.
Solis began to point to Angel Locsin’s statement about not abandoning her comrades in the middle of a crisis, which Solis implied as a snide to Alonzo. Though Locsin didn’t mention anyone specific in her statement, she remains friends with Alonzo.

Solis made some valid points in her post defending Alonzo, especially with artists and their careers. She also made a good argument that at the end of the day, it’s all business.
Earlier, Alonzo came under fire from Director Erick Salud for allegedly abandoning her project with the Kapamilya Network. Alonzo’s friend Janus del Prado also came to her defense, stating that loyalty is a two-way street.
To add, Alonzo also received support from other Kapamilya stars upon transferring to GMA Network. ABS-CBN talents such as Anne Curtis, Edward Barber, and even former Kapamilya Maja Salvador have nothing but kind words to Alonzo on the next chapter of her career.
And on the issue of loyalty, Alonzo confirmed her talks with the ABS-CBN president and CEO Carlo Katigbak, who gave his blessings to the actress’s transfer.
With these in mind, were the attacks against Alonzo too much?Â
While many will have their varying opinions on the matter, Alonzo is only trying to make a living, especially in the tough times the world is in now. Shouldn’t people be happy since Alonzo found a new home where she could explore her talents?
