The 4-year relationship of Bea Alonzo and Zanjoe Marudo come to a close when Zanjoe confirmed it on the January 20, 2015 episode of “Tonight With Boy Abunda”.
“Wala namang madaling way eh. So kailangan talaga pagdaanan,” (“There is really no easier way. so you have to go through with it”) shared by the Kapamilya actor who did not give any further details regarding the breakup.
When celebrities go dark or silent about issues, this is where the rumor machine starts working and producing what it produces best, rumors. One seemingly plausible reason or rumor behind the Bea Alonzo and Zanjoe Marudo breakup is that Zanjoe seems to prioritizes his family and career more than relationship with Bea; thus a neglected or a partner who’s taken for granted.

This possible reason for the couple’s breakup came to be because of Zanjoe Marudo’s statements released in the past – that he considers his family as “water” or his “life” (referencing his “Tubig at Langis” project) as shared by Hataw Tabloid online article on January 28, 2016.
Zanjoe shared that he is more than willing to do anything and give everything for them to the extent of having his love life set aside. This is a perfectly sound and seemingly ‘noble’ sentiment of “family coming first”, but this does not bid well to a romantic partner who might be opt to compete for time and attention from one’s family.
Who would want to make their romantic partner choose between their romantic love and one’s love for his family?
The big question now that followers of the two Kapamilya celebrities is what could be the ‘real’ reason behind it. People seem to think that they are entitled to know everything that there is to know about showbiz couples, when in reality celebrities don’t own anybody an explanation especially if it involves sensitive issues and their private lives; matters of the heart.
But this is Philippine showbiz and like democracy, people are free to speculate and think of whatever satisfies them. Most of the time, such speculations might be true, have some truths in it, or completely be false; but as long as parties involved neither confirm or deny it. It will just be like that, rumors and speculation.
