GMA Network is reported to reveal the main cast of the much awaited return of its original telefantasya “Encantadia.” After 10 years, the telefantasya is set to hit the airwaves again this coming 2016. The new cast and the crew certainly has big shoes to fill after the first original series won several awards and was loved by both critics and regular TV viewers.
“Encantadia” is a story about four sisters portrayed by Pirena (Dizon), Amihan (Calzado), Alena (Karylle) and Danaya (Zubiri). They are guarding four gems which represent fire, air, water and land; maintaining the balance in the land of Encantadia.

There’s an alleged photo circulating now of the final main cast of the “Encantadia 2016” which shows Kapuso artists Kylie Padilla wearing blue gown, Glaiza De Castro in red gown, Gabbi Garcia in green gown and new artist Sanya Lopez in brown gown with Rocco Nacino and Ruru Madrid, both in black shirts. The first question in mind is, is this just a coincidence of colors between the Sang’gres or this is a spoiler confirmation of the next Pirena, Amihan, Alena and Danaya?
There’s no official announcement yet regarding the casting of this remake but many different reactions, including the negative ones. And on Twitter, headwriter Suzette Doctolero posted an appeal to the fans of the original story to respect the decision on “Encantadia 2016.”
