Ever since the announcement of an “Encantadia” remake for the year 2016 was made, avid fans of the series have been speculating left and right. And the newest update regarding the “Encantadia 2016” was made by GMA Network Senior Vice President of Entertainment TV Lilybeth Rasonable.

She proudly announced, “Si Marian, may comeback. At mayroon ding nagco-comeback na show sa GMA after 10 years. We are so honored and very thankful na napaunlakan kami ng ating Primetime Queen na gawin ito. Wala na kaming ma-imagine kung sino ang puwedeng gumawa nito dahil si Marian ang epitome of a diwata.”

Slated for airing on June 2016, “Encantadia” premiered in 2005 and gained critical acclaim for its epic storytelling, depth of characters, and production values. The original incarnation of the show featured the four Sangg’re sisters Pirena, Amihan, Alena, and Danaya and their interactions with both the enchanted and the real world.
