Boy Abunda admitted the presidential debate inspired his 2022 Presidential One-on-One Interviews in the US.
On January 23, on his YouTube channel, Abunda has shared some behind-the-scenes information about his upcoming presidential interviews with Senator Ping Lacson, former Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Vice President Leni Robredo Mayor Isko Moreno, and Senator Manny Pacquaio.
“During that time, I got fascinated with the presidential debate in the United States of America. I was very interested… at marami pang iba.
“It’s very challenging. It’s very daunting… I leave it to the journalists. Wala naman akong ilusyon na ako ay journalist. I am an interviewer. I don’t know if people would understand that, but… I am an inquisitor. I interview people, I ask questions,” Abunda stated.
Abunda confessed that the presidential interview concept has been in his mind since September 2021, wanting it not to be in a debate format. But he was not sure if he could pull the right strings to make things happen.
“Everything fell into the right place. Ang laki ng pasasalamat ko sa Diyos. Thank you, Lord, for your infinite kindness. You have a bigger plan, and You are going to make this happen,” he shared.
Abunda’s 2022 Presidential One-on-One Interviews are scheduled to take place from January 24 to January 28. Each interview will premiere at 6 PM on The Boy Abunda Talk Channel on YouTube.
The order of presidential candidates to be interviewed is as follows: Lacson, Marcos, Robredo, Moreno, and Pacquiao. Be sure not to miss it!
