Actor and TV host Edu Manzano shared a cryptic post about the 2016 Election results on twitter on Monday, January 31.

Manzano seemingly implied that there was electoral fraud in the 2016 elections as he is doubtful about the number of voters that Rodrigo Duterte earned.

Manzano wrote, “2016 – 54M voters. Duterte – 16.6M votes. What happened to the 37.4M?”

In another tweet, Manzano wrote a message to those who criticized him.

He said, “To those who like to criticize, yes, you’re entitled to your OWN opinion. I can accept that. But… you’re not entitled to your OWN facts. TRUTH IS TRUTH.”

Manzano previously announced his support to senatorial candidate Atty. Chel Diokno for the upcoming elections.

He came up with this decision after knowing that Diokno’s father was their family lawyer in 1961.

He said, “Look what I found on a lazy Saturday afternoon… Atty. Chel Diokno’s @ChelDiokno Dad was our family lawyer in 1961. My dad always spoke highly of the Diokno Family. Integrity, honesty and patriotism were at the top of the list.”

Diokno then commented on his post and thanked Manzano.

Diokno said, “Wow, this is a gem! Thank you for this @realedumanzano! My father’s example of integrity, honesty, and patriotism are what I strive to live up to everyday.”

Manzano was also one of the celebrities who relayed their support to Vice President Leni Robredo for the 2022 elections.

“Leni deserves a lot more credit… Good job!” Manzano commented about Robredo’s interview with Boy Abunda.
