John Lloyd Cruz opens up on the possibility that he will star in a Kapuso teleserye this year.
Cruz transferred to the GMA Network in November 2021 after being with the ABS-CBN network for more than two decades.
The actor currently stars in the Kapuso sitcom Happy ToGetHer.
During his interview with 24 Oras’s Chika Minute on March 8, Cruz admitted that one TV series pitch caught his attention.
“Meron akong nakuhang pitch na sabi ko ‘Okay to ah.’ So, I think sinusulat ‘yung script para makita na rin [at] mabasa nang mas maayos,” he said.
He also revealed that he will do a movie project with Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
He then praised Jasmine’s guest appearance in the pilot episode of Happy ToGetHer.
“Yung role na ginawa niya nung pilot episode namin I think mahirap ‘yun. Hindi lahat yata magagawa ‘yun. Parang ang galing na nakita ko ‘yun na kaya niya mag-transition from like seryosong material to a sitcom,” he said.
His last teleserye was in 2017 with ABS-CBN’s La Luna Sangre.
Meanwhile, the actor is rumored of doing a teleserye project with Kapuso star Maine Mendoza.
