In a Facebook post on Wednesday, March 16, Kapamilya singer and online sensation Gigi De Lana denied seeking sympathy in her social media post about her lost iPhone during her concert in the Middle East.
De Lana defended herself from netizens who claimed that she had no money to buy a new phone and asked for money online.
“Okay po ulitin ko post ko. Dami kasi nagko-comment na parang mas alam nila nangyari,” De Lana said.
“Nawala phone ko and di binalik. I tried to locate my iPhone through ‘Find my iPhone’ and wala,dinala na talaga. And nagpa-help na rin ako dito sa Dubai. Don’t worry naka mark as lost phone so di niya din mabuksan ‘yun,” she narrated.
De Lana explained that she is currently spending her money on her mother’s medical bills and other necessities.
She related, “Yung post kasi na ‘yun. Para lang gumaan yung loob ba. Parang ginawa ko na biro. Kasi aminin n’yo mahirap mawalan ng phone.
“Una po sa lahat, bago ako bumili ng brand new phone, mas uunahin ko medical bills ng mom ko and iba pang pambayad ng bills 🙂 Parang kayo rin. Ganun din kayo di ba? Unless talagang wala na kayo mapaggastusan sa pera n’yo.”
