ABS-CBN Entertainment’s newest family drama series, “A Family Affair” generated social media buzz when it premiered Monday (June 27) for its puzzling storyline and showcasing the beauty of Masbate.
The series starts off with the Rodeo competition in which Paco (Gerald Anderson) shows his skills as the Rodeo King, while Cherry Red (Ivana Alawi) prepares for the town’s fiesta. Cherry’s strong and principled character was highlighted when her aunt (Ana Abad Santos)asked her to use her charm andbe with one of the Estrella Boys.
She stood by her principles and schooled her aunt that they need to value their worth as women. “Wala po akong presyo, pero halaga meron, lahat tayo may halaga,” said Cherry Red.
The first episode also showed how she was adopted by the Estrella family and her past relationship with Dave (Sam Milby). Viewers can look forward to how Cherry deals with the return of Dave from his stay in Manila and Paco’s persistent feelings for her.
