Running Man Philippines pilot episodes made a big dash as it dominated the rating game over the weekend.
It premiered on Saturday, September 3 and scored a triple lap lead against its competitor Idol Philippines, 14.1% versus 4.3%.
Its rating even moved higher on its second episode on Sunday, September 4, scoring 14.4%, comfortably beating Idol Philippines, which earned 3.3% on that day.
The reality game show series is the Philippines’ adaptation of Korea’s Running Man in collaboration with South Korean network SBS (Seoul Broadcasting Network).
Running Man PH stars Glaiza de Castro, Kokoy de Santos, Ruru Madrid, Angel Guardian, Lexi Gonzales, Buboy Villar, and Mikael Daez.
In the pilot episode, the runners where given their first mission at the Hwaseong Palace.
There, they had a set of Korean characters each, where they had to find inside the palace. After finding it–they need to recreate the Korean characters they picked, and they bring to the 1st station to earn their first badge.
Ruru Madrid was the first to finish the mission.
Meanwhile, aside from TV ratings, Running Man PH pilot was also warmly welcomed by the netizens as it became one of the top trending topics on Twitter Philippines.
Netizens were delighted with the newest Kapuso reality gameshow for its fun and chill vibe.
