KBP Golden Dove Awards Best Public Service Program host Karen Davila will meet the men behind phenomenal Japanese restaurant Omakase on this Tuesday’s (July 12) episode of the award-winning ABS-CBN current affairs program “My Puhunan.”

Karen Davila gets to try the wildly-popular Omakase Japanese joint this Tuesday

Founded by Ed Encisa and Rico Rosales, the restaurant whose name means “bahala na si Chef” in Filipino, Omakase gained popularity by serving authentic Japanese dishes much to the delight of the public.

Ed had a budding career as a chef in a Japanese restaurant in the United States when the 9-11 bombing broke out, forcing him to come home earlier than he expected due to the threat of terrorism. With his brother in-law Rico, they opened an over-the-counter sushi takeout, which later burgeoned to be the restaurant that every Japanese food-loving Filipino raves about.

Ed Encisa and Rico Robles are the founders of popular Japanese establishment, Omakase

Don’t miss this Tuesday’s (July 12) episode of “My Puhunan,” 9:30pm on DZMM Teleradyo and after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN or view it via streaming on www.iwanTV.com.ph. For updates, visit www.facebook.com/MyPuhunan at www.twitter.com/MyPuhunan.
