Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia admitted that she sought Julia Barretto’s permission to work with Joshua Garcia.
Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia were past loveteam partners and former lovers. They dated around 2017 and broke up in 2019.
In Gabbi Garcia’s interview on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ on May 18, she revealed that she informed her friend Julia Barretto that she would work with Joshua Garcia.
Gabbi Garcia shared, “Actually, I called her. When the project was mentioned to me, I called her. I also called her before I left for Europe. Not for anything. Siguro values ko lang din as a woman and as her friend. I called her in respect, delicadeza lang for me na, ‘Oh I’m gonna be working with Josh for this project’.”
She said that Barretto laughed it off and said that Garcia did not need her permission anymore.
Garcia added, “Natawa pa nga siya na parang, ‘Oh my God Gabbi you don’t have to call me. Sabi niya sa kin parang ‘You don’t have to call me, you don’t even have to tell me, just go’.”
Gabbi Garcia and Joshua Garcia will work on the upcoming Kapamilya series ‘Unbreak My Heart’.
The series is a TV collaboration between GMA Network and ABS-CBN. It is directed by Emmanuel Quindo Palo and Dolly Dulu and also stars Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap.
