RLC Residences Senior Vice President and Business Unit General Manager John Richard Sotelo (middle, second row) and Senior Director, Marketing Head and Chief Integration Officer Karen Cesario (fifth from right – first row) with the Philippine Badminton Team.

The residential division of Robinsons Land proudly continues its efforts to support athletes in various sporting events – this time extending it to the Philippine Badminton Association (PBAD).

Recognized as the national governing body for badminton, PBAD supports players who have been competing in multiple national and international tournaments abroad, bringing pride to the country. RLC Residences is proud to be given the chance to encourage the athletes and reach for new heights through this sport.

“Supporting Philippine Badminton Association is an honor for us at RLC Residences because this sport is very close to our hearts. Our President and CEO, Mr. Frederick Go, is a badminton player, coach, and enthusiast himself and he believes that this sport deserves all the support so our athletes can continuously develop their skills and bring pride to our country,” says Karen Cesario, Marketing Head and Chief Integration Officer of RLC Residences.

Just this August, the team – led by Alvin Morada, Christian Bernardo, Alyssa Leonardo and Coach Joper Escueta – proudly represented the country in the recently concluded Total Energies BWF World Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark.

From their 400th rank last year, they have successfully jumped to the 48th spot and are consistently training hard to qualify in the Olympics by 2026. “We are very proud of the team’s performance for showing other countries what they are capable of,” adds Cesario.

The partnership between the brand and PBAD will help coaches and athletes be more exposed to high-level competitions in and out of the country – ultimately aiming to produce the Philippines’ next badminton Olympian.

The official national team is also active in encouraging more children to embrace the sport and become official delegates in future tournaments.

“We at PBAD welcomes the support of RLC Residences in our vision to promote and advance badminton in the Philippines.

We believe that this partnership will be of valuable help not only to our athletes but also in putting our country’s name on the international scene,” shares Randolph Balatbat, Team Manager of PBAD.

RLC Residences has been supporting several sporting events for years now, with the aim of continuously inspiring people to pursue an active and healthy lifestyle.

“Just like how we empower home seekers to find a home that they can proudly call theirs, we hope to encourage more athletes to raise their game so they can continuously play and live out their passion for badminton,’” shares Cesario.
