On December 4, Kapuso Primetime couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera discussed their views about the challenges married couples face.
At the media conference for ‘Rewind,’ which LionhearTV covered, Dantes acknowledged that he and Rivera also went through challenges in their marriage like any other couple.
“Oo naman, lahat naman ng mga couples ay nagkakaroon ng challenges di ba sa kanilang relationship. Ganon din kami, actually, early on pa.”
However, thanks to their values, including respect, love, and faith in God, the Kapuso couple overcame challenges early in their marriage.
“Pero, dahil matibay ‘yung ano–‘yung respeto namin sa isa’t-isa, ‘yung pagmamahal, at higit sa lahat we really recognize that God is at the center of our relationship. Dahil kung ganon talaga ay siguradong mayroong gagabay at gagabay sayo, ibabalik at ibabalik ka niya sa gitna.”
Rivera also highlighted how open communication helped resolve things whenever they had arguments.
“Oo kasi, di naman talaga natin maiiwasan na sa isang relasyon hindi pagkakaunawaan. Pero sa amin, one thing’s for sure, sa amin ni Dingdong, hindi kami natutulog na hindi naayos ang lahat. Kailangan may heart to heart talk kami, at after noon kailangan talagang nasa sentro talaga siya, kasi kahit anong plano ang gagawin mo, siya pa rin ang masusunod. Siya pa rin ang master namin.”
As for their movie, ‘Rewind’ stars Kapuso Primetime King and Queen Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera.
The cast features Lito Pimentel, Ariel Ureta, Ina Feleo, Pepe Herrera, Via Antonio, Joross Gamboa, Pamu Pamorada, Chamyto Aguedan, Joy Apostol, Niel Coleta, Jordan Lim, Sue Ramirez, and Cony Reyes.
Directed by Mae Cruz-Alviar and with the screenplay of Enrico Santos, the Star Cinema-APT Entertainment-Agos Todos Pictures film opens in cinemas on December 25.
