Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo shares the legacy he wanted to leave for his constituents

On December 2, Kawit Cavite Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo shared the legacy he wanted to leave for his constituents.

At a press event, which LionhearTV attended with selected media, Mayor Aguinaldo said he wanted to leave a legacy of caring for his constituents.

“‘Yung kami po, may puso at malasakit sa mga lumalapit po sa amin, sa Munisipyo po. ‘Yun po ‘yung gusto kong maiwang legacy sa amin.”

Councilor Jerry Jarin attested to Mayor Aguinaldo’s care and compassion for Kawit’s citizens.

“Actually, ‘yung legacy ni Mayor, kalat na sa buong Kawit, at sa buong probinsya ng Cavite. ‘Yung sinasabi ko sa inyo kanina na pagtulong na ginagawa niya, since from birth to death, na pagtulong, ‘yun ang ginagawa niya. Kaya tumatak sa mga isip ng mga Kawiteno ‘yung ginagawa niyang pag tulong.”

He then highlighted comments from nearby residents of Kawit that would give positive feedback to Mayor Aguinaldo’s governance.

“Kaya nga sinasabi ko sa inyo, maraming mga taga-ibang bayan na nagsasabing, ‘Sana taga Kawit na rin kami, para sana-all, nabibigyan ng tulong.’ So ‘yun ang tumatak sa isip ng mga tao, dito sa aming bayan.”

Aside from Mayor Aguinaldo’s public service projects, he also noted their housing initiatives for the disadvantaged citizens of their municipality.

Present at the media event were Kawit Cavite Municipal Admin Engr Rey Santos, Councilor Armie Aguinaldo, Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo, Public Information Officer Matthew Juganas, and Councilor Jerry Jarin.

As for Kawit’s Holiday celebration, the municipal government launched Paskuhan sa Kawit, which features a unique mix of modern Christmas decor and lighting in their historical monument in the province, the Aguinaldo Shrine and Freedom Park.

Kawit’s Local Government Unit (LGU) launched the holiday-themed shrine and park on November 18 via a concert event featuring artists such as Gessie K., Nef Medina, and Agsunta.

Then, on December 1, the LGU opened the Christmas display to visitors from 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM to accommodate Las Tiendas customers and those attending the time-honored tradition of Simbang Gabi.
