On January 19, Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado revealed her upcoming album with Star Music.
At the GMA Regional TV media event for Sinulog 2024, which LionhearTV covered, Mercado, a Kapuso artist, remarked that she would have an album for 2024 under the Kapamilya music label.
“Ngayong taon po, gagawa akong album under Star Music, so nakapag-record na po kami. At ngayong taon din po ‘yung release, so abangan ninyo po.”
She then detailed how Star Music head Jonathan Manalo approached with an offer to make an album.
“‘Yung offer po ay galing po kay Mr. Jonathan Manalo. So excited kami na gumawa ng album, siyempre hindi naman po lahat, nagpro-produce ng album with Mr. Jonathan Manalo. So very thankful ako.
“Ba’t ba tayo hihindi eh sila ‘yung may offer. So why not, tanggapin natin.”
Aside from music, she also hinted at details about her upcoming movie projects for 2024.
“May gagawin po akong dalawang movie this year. ‘Yung isa all about my wife, isho-shoot na namin ‘yan next month. ‘Yung isa abangan na lang nila ‘yan, bago matapos ang taon.”
Earlier, GMA Sparkle Artists Jennylyn Mercado (Love. Die. Repeat), Gabby Concepcion, Max Collins (My Guardian Alien), Myrtle Sarrosa, Kristoffer Martin, Royce Cabrera, Teejay Marquez (Makiling), Ken Chan, Kazel Kinouchi (Abot Kamay na Pangarap), Kate Valdez, and Joaquin Domagoso celebrated the Sinulog 2024 in Cebu City from January 19 to January 21 with Kapuso Cebuanos.
