What happened to ‘Goin’ Bulilit?’

The beloved kiddie gag show ‘Goin’ Bulilit’ has taken an unexpected hiatus, leaving fans surprised as it disappeared from A2Z, ALLTV, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live starting Monday, September 30.

In a sudden programming shift, the show has been replaced by reruns of ‘Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal,’ hosted by Luis Manzano, in the 6:00 PM timeslot.

This change left many viewers curious, particularly after cast member Baby Giant hinted at future plans during a recent episode, saying, “Very hopeful,” about reuniting with fans.

However, some netizens criticized the new format of ‘Goin’ Bulilit,’ describing the jokes as “corny” and suggesting that the daily airing schedule did not suit the show’s comedic style. Many expressed a preference for the program’s previous Sunday slot.

The show had initially made its return on July 1 after being off-air since August 4, 2019, due to ABS-CBN’s loss of its free TV franchise. This new version of ‘Goin’ Bulilit’ marked the first collaboration between ABS-CBN Studios and ALLTV, with fans eager for its return in a more suitable timeslot.

In an interview with Jun Lalin, editor of Abante, director Edgar Mortiz explained that the show is currently on a season break. He assured fans, “Naka-season break lang kami after ng first season. May isa pang season ang ‘Goin’s Bulilit’ kaya babalik pa kami!”

With this announcement, viewers can look forward to the return of ‘Goin’ Bulilit’ for its second season, promising more laughter and entertainment for audiences of all ages.
