Apostol Dental Cosmetic Center and its charity arm, the Apostolified Foundation, successfully held their ‘Compassion in Action: Libreng Bunot Project’ on April 14, 2025, offering free dental extractions to over 100 individuals in need at their Legaspi Village clinic in Makati.
Timed during Holy Week—a season of reflection and healing—the project brought not only expert dental care, but also warmth, dignity, and hope to its beneficiaries. Far from the typical image of charity work, the event provided participants a luxury-level experience often reserved for paying patients.
“I thought that only paying patients can experience that kind of luxury. But even though I can’t normally afford this, I felt accommodated. I felt the luxury,” shared one of the recipients, echoing the sentiments of many who were moved not just by the service, but by how valued they felt.
Each patient underwent a pre-assessment process on April 5 and 7, including free panoramic x-rays and dental evaluations, ensuring safe and personalized care. On extraction day, patients were treated to a full experience—top-grade equipment, caring professionals, and even free post-care kits, pain medication (courtesy of TGP), and ice cream after their procedures.
Dr. Jonas Apostol, founder of Apostol Dental, emphasized that this initiative was more than just a medical service.
“We are not just treating dental ailments—we are nurturing a brighter, healthier future for our community,” he said. “Through the support of the Apostolified Foundation, we are putting compassion into action, one smile at a time.”
The atmosphere of the clinic during the event was filled with both gratitude and relief. For many, it was their first time receiving dental care in a setting designed to make them feel seen and respected. One patient remarked, “Nakakakaba kasi high-end yung clinic, only high-class people can afford this… pero iba dito sa Apostol. ‘Di nila ipaparamdam na iba ka.”
True to its mission, the Apostolified Foundation is committed to bridging the gap between high-quality healthcare and underserved communities. The success of this outreach has led to plans for the Libreng Bunot Project to become a quarterly initiative, ensuring that more Filipinos get the care they deserve—without the fear of being turned away.
As the project concluded, the team expressed their pride and renewed commitment to delivering compassionate care without compromise.
