As online criticism against ‘Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11’ big winner Fyang Smith continues to trend, her fellow housemate Rain Celmar has spoken out in her defense, calling out the wave of negativity surrounding the 19-year-old reality star.
In a Facebook post, Rain expressed concern over the volume and tone of hate posts circulating about Fyang, many of which stem from a single viral clip taken out of context.
“I’ve been seeing so many hate posts and comments attacking Fyangi lately. I don’t usually like to ‘makisawsaw,’ but it honestly hurts to see how quickly people judge her based on a single clip—without knowing the full context,” Rain wrote. “The hate train is so force, and it’s disheartening.”
She reminded the public that Fyang, like everyone else, is human. “She makes mistakes. She’s still young, still learning, and still growing. Maybe her humor doesn’t land for everyone, and that’s okay. But calling her names non-stop and throwing cruel, hurtful words at her doesn’t make anyone better than her.”
Rain emphasized that while constructive feedback is important, it should be given with empathy. “Let’s not forget that behind all the edits and viral posts is a real person. A person who isn’t perfect and never claimed to be.”
She ended her post with a plea: “No one deserves this level of hate. Not HER!!! Not ANYONE!!!”
Fyang Smith, known for her candid and often bold personality inside the ‘PBB’ house, has faced her share of critics since her rise to fame. At just 19 years old, she has had to navigate the pressures of public life and online scrutiny—challenges that many her age have yet to experience.
