Korean actor Choi Bo Min had nothing but kind words for his ‘Beauty Empire’ co-stars Barbie Forteza and Kyline Alcantara during his recent introduction as one of the new brand ambassadors of BlueWater Day Spa.
Speaking at the spa’s 20th anniversary event on July 10, Bo Min admitted he was anxious about his stay in the Philippines. “I was very worried because I’m a foreigner here. But everyone is very kind to me and everyone is nice,” he shared.
The ‘Beauty Empire’ lead, who is staying in the country for three months, expressed gratitude for the warm welcome he received from the show’s cast and crew. “Honestly, I’m very confused and nervous and worried about it because [it’s] my first time in the Philippines. I can’t speak English very well. But the Beauty Empire staff, Kyline, Barbie, Direk Mark [Sicat dela Cruz]—all of them are very kind to me,” Bo Min said.
He added, “I was very thankful. I think it’s very meaningful to me because it’s a very good experience working with kind people. And I also like my role (Alex). So, I think I have a very good time here.”
Bo Min, who also debuted his Filipino single ‘Nakaraang Buhay’ under Universal Records during the event, revealed that he has started immersing himself in local culture by trying Filipino favorites like sisig and chicken barbecue.
One surprising discovery? His fondness for traditional Filipino massage. “The traditional Filipino massage was new to me, but so good. I fell asleep halfway through,” Bo Min laughed. He even said he’d like to take Barbie and Kyline with him to try it out if they’re interested.
