Kapuso stars Jillian Ward and David Licauco have officially begun taping for GMA Network’s upcoming primetime action-drama series ‘Never Say Die’, and both are throwing themselves wholeheartedly into the project.

For Jillian, the series marks her first foray into the action genre—something she admits has pushed her to step out of her comfort zone.
“Palaban ako! Palaban ako for this show. Alam ko na lahat sila mga athletes po sila, talagang mga action star po sila, ilang years na silang nag-a-action,” Jillian said, referring to her co-stars. “Excited ako na matuto from them. Bagong experience talaga po itong show na ito for me.”
Determined to give her best, the actress revealed that she’s been training even on her rest days. “Ako po, first time ko [sa action], pero talagang ibibigay ko po ’yung best ko. I will do everything. Actually po, kahit rest days ko, nagja-jog pa rin ako, talagang nagwo-workout po ako para medyo mas malakas,” she shared.
David, meanwhile, is embracing a new onscreen partnership after being widely recognized as one half of the beloved BarDa tandem with Barbie Forteza. While adjusting to this shift, he expressed his excitement about working with Jillian for the first time.
“It’s always nice to work with a new actress na makakasama mo sa eksena, para lang ma-test mo rin ’yung pagiging actor mo. I see that Jillian is also passionate in acting,” David said, praising his co-star.
He added: “Grabe ang action scenes namin. I’m really excited to be working with Jillian and the rest of the cast. It’s fun.”
David has kept busy preparing for the role, including a recent guest appearance on Barbie Forteza’s new primetime series Beauty Empire, which he described as a learning experience. “Sabi ko nga kay Barbie, para lang akong nag-acting workshop with her as my acting coach that day. Siyempre alam naman natin na magaling si Barbie,” he recalled.
‘Never Say Die’ boasts a powerhouse ensemble cast that includes Richard Yap, Kim Ji Soo, Michelle Dee, Analyn Barro, Raheel Bhyria, Raymart Santiago, Angelu de Leon, Wendell Ramos, Ayen Munji-Laurel, Jonathan Villoso, and Ms. Gina Alajar.
