Kris Bernal gets by with ignoring the hurtful words of the bashers regarding her body. She said that she’d rather pray for them instead of being affected.
The 28-year-old actress hopes that one day these netizens will respect her.
As for now, she said that she’ll turn her focus on her latest soap opera under GMA 7, Impostora, which will start airing on July 3 at the Afternoon prime slot.
The story follows Nimfa, an ugly street vendor who agreed to change her face and transform to a different woman.
Kris will be starring with two handsome men, Rafael Rosell and Ryan Eigenmann.
She admits that the role is indeed challenging.
According to her, “It’s very different from the last one I did. First time ko na gumawa ng isang dual role. Dito sa soap talaga ako mahahasa, at mag-go-grow. Ito na siguro yung pinaka-challenging character ko.
Sa Impostora, pabago-bago ako, hindi lang sa acting, sa pananamit din, may prosthetics pa ako and iba’t-ibang makeup at look.”
Kris underwent a lot of preparations for this project. She shares that she personally made herself ready for her characters.
“Pinag-aralan ko talaga siya. Sinulat ko yung differences ng dalawang characters. Nag-workshop din ako at ang dami kong pinanood na movies. Ganun ka very specific at detailed ang ginawa ko para paghandaan ang roles ko dito.”
