Security Bank Corp. has officially launched BetterBanking Rewards, a fully digital rewards ecosystem designed to redefine how cardholders earn, manage, and redeem their points.
The platform was unveiled at the ‘Ready. Set. Redeem!’ launch event and mall takeover at Shangri-La Plaza, Mandaluyong City, on October 27, 2025.
The new platform offers customers real-time access to their rewards, enabling them to track, redeem, and use points instantly through the Security Bank mobile app or website.
“BetterBanking Rewards will redefine how our customers experience banking—by making every transaction rewarding, every moment convenient, and every point meaningful,” said Maricar “Meri” Filart, Vice President and Credit Cards Head at Security Bank. “We built this platform around simplicity, speed, and customer empowerment. Every swipe should feel rewarding—and now, it truly is.”
Through Pay with Rewards, cardholders can now use their accumulated points to pay for purchases anywhere Mastercard is accepted, either pre-purchase or post-purchase through a “purchase eraser.”
Meanwhile, the Points Exchange feature allows seamless conversion of points into more than 100 airline miles and hotel loyalty programs, including major international brands.
“If you look at other rewards programs, there are often multiple steps before you can redeem,” explained Filart. “Here, you’re doing everything digitally, in one place, in real time.”
Security Bank Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Patricia Tan said the bank aims to expand the platform beyond credit cards to reward clients for their overall banking relationship.
“We’re looking at it from a total bank perspective,” Tan shared. “In the future, we want to reward customers not only for their card usage but also for deposits, secured lending, and other products with Security Bank.”
The platform has already received international recognition, earning awards such as:
