Veteran actress Gladys Reyes revealed that her son Christof, a fellow Star Magic talent, declined an invitation to join Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 due to academic and faith commitments.

Speaking to reporters after the Star Magic Spotlight Press Conference on October 29, Reyes said ‘PBB’ and Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi personally invited Christof to enter Bahay ni Kuya, but the timing didn’t align.
“Meeting pa lang namin ni Direk Lauren, sinabi na niya ’yan. In-invite niya si Christof for PBB, kaya lang hindi talaga puwede,” Reyes shared.
Currently studying at UP Diliman, Christof is a working student with a fixed routine that includes twice-weekly church services—an arrangement that would be incompatible with PBB’s strict no-outside-world rule.
“He’s studying in UP and at the same time, hindi siya makaka-church—may church service kami twice a week. Alam mo naman, bawal ang outside world. So wala, hindi talaga,” Reyes explained.
Reyes stressed that in their family, faith and education take precedence over showbiz breaks, though she remains fully supportive of her children’s artistic pursuits.
While Christof won’t be part of the season’s 20 celebrity housemates—split evenly between Kapamilya and Kapuso talents—Reyes said she’s game to drop by the house as a guest, especially to cheer on Caprice Cayetano, her co-star in a GMA Network series.
“Why not? Gusto ko ’yun! Sabi ko nga, ’wag lang nila aapihin si Caprice doon, papasok talaga ako. I would love to visit Bahay ni Kuya—’wag niya lang ako patulugin doon,” she joked..
