Kathryn Bernardo’s mother, Min Bernardo, has once again come to her daughter’s defense—this time addressing a comment about why the actress consistently refuses political endorsements.
In an Instagram Story, Min reposted a message from a netizen who revealed that a politician once sought Kathryn’s endorsement.
“A politician once asked me to help get Kathryn’s endorsement. And you said, ‘She chooses to stay apolitical.’ That’s quiet strength and clear values. Integrity and independence speak louder than influence,” the netizen wrote.
Min responded simply but sincerely: “Thank you ❤️.”
While Kathryn has never publicly explained her stance on political endorsements, Min’s response confirms that the superstar deliberately avoids involvement in partisan politics—a decision rooted in personal values and a desire to remain independent.
This affirmation comes just days after Min and Star Magic, Kathryn’s talent management, released statements warning the public against fake posts falsely attributing political remarks to the actress.
Min shared Star Magic’s advisory, which clarified that Kathryn did not issue the circulating statements criticizing President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
She then expressed frustration over the continued misuse of her daughter’s name and image: “Please stop using my daughter’s name or image on your platform, especially if the stories you share are not true/spliced.”
Min stressed how easily misinformation spreads when quotes are altered: “Ang isang kwento pag dinagdagan o binawasan ng kahit isang salita, naiiba ang kahulugan, at nagiging FAKE NEWS.”
The celebrity mom also reminded the public that their silence should not be misinterpreted: “We’ve endured in silence for so long because of dagdag bawas at pag-twist ng kwento, but silence means we agree with what is being said. Remember, as a mother, there’s a LIMIT to how much pain and silence one can bear.”
In another Instagram post, Min thanked an executive from a real estate development company who attested that Kathryn has repeatedly declined political endorsements in the past.
The actress herself acknowledged Star Magic’s warning by reposting the advisory on her Instagram Stories.
