Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera drew laughs online after candidly sharing the one work habit she absolutely cannot tolerate—being late—during her recent guest appearance on the YouTube show ‘Janno & Bing’.
Marian and her husband, Dingdong Dantes, were invited as special guests by hosts Janno Gibbs and Bing Loyzaga. During the lighthearted conversation, Marian was asked about the trait she dislikes most in colleagues—and her answer was direct.
“Alam ng lahat ng katrabaho ko kung ano ‘yung ayaw ko talaga,” Marian said. “Parang kaya kong mag-adjust kung hindi ka marunong magbigay na actor, kung gusto mo ikaw palagi ang bida, that’s fine with me.”
She went on to explain that even unpreparedness on set is something she can work around.
“Kung hindi mo alam ang lines mo, okay lang sa akin ‘yon. Bahala ka. Gawin mo ang work mo, gagawin ko ‘yung sa akin,” she added. “Isa lang ang ayaw ko—always late!”
Marian clarified that her strong stance against tardiness is rooted in concern for the production crew.
“Hindi ko naman hate na hate,” she said. “Pero ang point ko kasi, kapag sinabi sa akin na ang call time ko ay 7, before 7 nando’n na ako. Naaawa kasi ako sa mga crew na maagang dumarating tapos naghihintay. Sila pa rin ang huling umuuwi.”
Her remarks prompted a playful reaction from Janno, who is famously known in the industry for arriving late to commitments. At one point, the singer-actor jokingly pretended to walk out, drawing laughter from everyone on set.
Bing quickly came to her husband’s defense, saying that Janno has changed over the years and has been making an effort to be more punctual.
Keeping the mood light, Marian capped the moment with a teasing remark directed at Janno.
“Buti na lang hindi pa tayo nagkakatrabaho,” she joked, before adding with a laugh, “Malamang tatawagan ko si Dong.”
