TV host Willie Revillame revealed that he has been a consistent taxpayer since 2012, paying income taxes that allegedly reached ₱8 million to ₱9 million per month at the height of his television career.
During the media conference for his upcoming game show ‘Wilyonaryo’, Revillame gave members of the press a glimpse of his tax records as an individual taxpayer in the Philippines. When asked about his net worth, the host downplayed its importance and instead focused on his long history of tax compliance.
“It’s not about how much, it’s about how you work… never ako nanloko. Hindi ko kaya manloko ng kapwa ko, ng gobyerno,” Revillame said. “Kaya hindi ako nag-comment until the last day ako nagkaroon ng show sa GMA.”
Revillame disclosed that in 2012, he paid ₱63.9 million in taxes, making him the top celebrity taxpayer for that year.
“I’m paying nine million a month. Income tax lang ’to. Ilang years na halos ganyan ang binabayaran ko,” he added.
As the discussion shifted to politics and recent controversies involving alleged anomalous flood-control projects, Revillame admitted that it was painful for him to see people he knows being implicated.
“Malungkot. Mga kasamahan mong nakatulong din sa’yo, malungkot,” he said.
“’Yun ang mahirap sa pulitika, and I’m so blessed na hindi ako nanalo.”
Revillame, who ran but lost in the 2025 senatorial elections, reiterated that his loss spared him from the complexities and conflicts of politics.
“Isipin mo gumagawa ka na nga lang ng mabuti, ’yun pa ang nangyayari sa’yo,” he said.
“Sana malampasan nila lahat ng mga pagsubok na ’to, lalo na sa mga kasamahan natin sa industriya.”
The veteran host emphasized that despite not holding public office, he remains committed to helping Filipinos through other means.
Revillame is set to premiere ‘Wilyonaryo’ on its official website, with ongoing talks for a possible free TV airing. He also clarified that the program will not air on ABS-CBN, GMA Network, or TV5.
