The Wonderful Moments Music Festival 2026 wrapped up triumphantly on 7 and 8 February 2026 at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City, drawing thousands of music fans for a two-day celebration of Original Pilipino Music (OPM).

With Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo at the center of the spectacle, the festival unfolded as a powerful showcase of today’s biggest Filipino artists, blending pop, rock, P-pop, rap, and R&B into one seamless, high-energy experience.

From early morning queues at 9:00 AM to gates opening at 1:00 PM, excitement steadily filled the open-air grounds near Solaire. As performances began at 4:00 PM and stretched until midnight, the atmosphere transformed into a sea of lights, cheers, and collective anticipation.

When Sarah Geronimo took the stage, the energy shifted instantly. Opening with “Kilometro,” she commanded attention with sharp choreography and commanding vocals. “Tala” turned the festival grounds into one massive dance floor, while “Sa Iyo” delivered a heartfelt pause amid the adrenaline. Each performance reminded the audience why she remains one of the most influential figures in OPM.

Her set did not simply entertain—it anchored the entire weekend. Cheers echoed long after each song ended, and the connection between artist and crowd felt electric, genuine, and celebratory.

Day 1: A powerful opening lineup

The first day set the tone with a dynamic roster of performers. Gloc-9 electrified the crowd with socially resonant hits including “Upuan,” “Sirena,” and “Simpleng Tao,” delivering lyrical intensity that drew thunderous applause.

Dionela closed the evening with fan favorites “Marilag” and “Sining,” as thousands sang along beneath glowing phone lights. Earlier sets from Earl Agustin, Adie, Amiel Sol, Denise Julia, and P-pop group ALAMAT showcased the diversity of the modern OPM sound.

Adding flair and bold stage presence, Maxie Andreison delivered a vibrant performance that elevated the festival’s inclusive and celebratory spirit.

Day 2: Rock anthems and pop power

The second day amplified the momentum. Nation’s Girl Group BINI dazzled with synchronized choreography and viral hits such as “Pantropiko,” “Salamin Salamin,” “Lagi,” and “Bikini,” fuelling deafening cheers across the grounds.

OPM band Cup of Joe performed crowd favorites “Misteryoso,” “Estranghero,” “Pahina,” and “Multo,” building emotional intensity ahead of the night’s climactic finale.

Rock legends Parokya ni Edgar, Kamikazee, and Bamboo reunited fans with timeless anthems, including “Buloy,” “Narda,” and “Hallelujah,” turning the festival grounds into one massive sing-along.

Meanwhile, Mika Salamanca and Brent Manalo opened Day 2 with “Kasalanan” and “What If Tayo? ,” marking a milestone in their musical journeys. Arthur Nery and Over October added soulful and alternative textures to the already stacked lineup.

The festival concluded with a grand fireworks display that illuminated the Parañaque skyline, symbolizing the success of a weekend defined by unity and shared rhythm.

Organized by iME Philippines in partnership with Myriad, the company of Alden Richards, the Wonderful Moments Music Festival proved itself as one of the most ambitious and well-received OPM gatherings in recent years. Innovative podcast-style introductions, lively activity booths, and seamless production elevated the overall experience beyond a traditional concert setup.

With overwhelming attendance, enthusiastic crowd reactions, and standout performances led by Sarah Geronimo, the festival closed on a high note—both literally and figuratively. Plans are already being eyed to make the event a yearly tradition, with aspirations of expanding beyond local shores in the future.

Wonderful Moments Music Festival 2026 did more than deliver performances. It created shared memories, reignited love for OPM across generations, and proved that when Filipino music takes center stage, the result is nothing short of extraordinary. (with reports from Cassiopeia Calamaya)
