P-pop sensation BINI delivered another milestone moment for the Philippines after showcasing the country’s pride on the global stage of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Following their performance at one of the world’s biggest outdoor music festivals held annually in the United States, the all-female group proudly displayed the Philippine flag on a massive LED screen—an image that quickly went viral across social media platforms.
The moment marked a historic first, as both a Filipina act and the Philippine flag were prominently highlighted during the festival, drawing strong reactions from fans worldwide.
BINI’s appearance also generated massive online traction, with their first-day performance reportedly ranking among the most viewed on Instagram—placing second only to international pop star Justin Bieber and surpassing global artist Sabrina Carpenter.
Scenes from the event further amplified Filipino pride, as several concertgoers were seen waving Philippine flags in the crowd, while drone shots captured the strong Pinoy presence during the performance.
Adding to the buzz was the attendance of Carlo Katigbak, who was spotted at the event alongside several Kapamilya stars, including Anne Curtis, Piolo Pascual, Darren Espanto, Maja Salvador, AC Bonifacio, Alexa Ilacad, and Kyle Echarri.
Meanwhile, recognition for the group continues to build back home. Javi Benitez, representative of Negros Occidental’s 3rd District, has filed House Resolution No. 930 to formally commend BINI for their historic achievement.
“HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 930. A resolution commending and congratulating the Pinoy Pop (P-pop) girl group, BINI, for making history as the First Filipino Pop Group to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2026, and recognising their contribution to the global promotion of Filipino talent and culture,” the resolution stated.
In his message, Benitez praised the group’s impact on the global stage.
“Our Nation’s Girl Group successfully brought the ‘Pantropiko’ heat to the global mainstream!” he said.
“We filed the House Resolution No. 930, officially commending the ‘Nation’s Girl Group,’ BINI, for their groundbreaking performance at Coachella 2026. Their performances wasn’t just a win for the fans, it was a massive milestone for our creative industries and a masterclass in bringing OPM to the global stage. Congratulations!”
BINI is also expected to receive further international recognition, including an appearance at the Billboard Women in Music Awards, while fans in the Philippines eagerly await the group’s homecoming, with talks of a celebratory parade gaining traction.
