Boy defended Arci from the negative comments of social media users
61-year-old Kapamilya TV host Boy Abunda came to Arci Muñoz’s rescue after she received countless hate comments for her recent “transformation.”
When a Facebook user posted a series of photos showing Arci in an event, netizens quickly noticed some changes on her facial features. Some observed that her lips became bigger than it used to be, others suspected she had her nose done.
Abundance of social media reactions were from Arci’s bashers. They caught the attention of the “Tonight With Boy Abunda” host and prompted him to discuss the issue on his talk show.
Boy recounted an accident Arci suffered in the past, citing it as the only reason he knows of that pushed the actress for surgery.
In 2014, Boy narrated that Arci underwent a surgical procedure to fix her nose that was damaged from an incident during a gig.
Boy also stressed that the actress already explained herself regarding her lip “enhancement.” She earlier told the press that with the use of lip liners, Arci can make her lips look bigger.
While Arci remains tight-lipped about the issue, Boy spoke in behalf of her as a fellow showbiz personality.
“If she chooses to do something about her lips and her nose, let’s leave her in peace. Kaniya po ‘yun.
We talked about her nose, you talked about her lip, what about the kind of a person she is? What about her talent? Pag-usapan din natin, ‘di ba?”
It can be seen that Arci has turned off her commenting section on her Instagram account, banning netizens from giving her negative remarks.
