Philippine stock market posted slight gains week over week.
At the end of its trading on Friday, August 7, 2026, the country’s main index PSEi closed at 6,290.35, 0.9 percent higher than its previous week’s close of 6,236.44. The main index also rose 0.2 percent from its Thursday, August 6 close of 6,277.95.

However, while PSEi rebounds day over day and week over week, the local market saw slight decrease on its full week performance. PSEi’s Friday close was 0.7 percent below or 44.37 points down from its Monday, August 3, 2026 close of 6,334.72.
According to an Inquirer article quoting Luis Limlingan of Regina Capital, the stock market increase is mainly driven by the bargain hunting and strong earning from Universal Robina Corp., Century Pacific Food Inc. and Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc.
Top Performers
Dominion Holdings Inc led the top performers at the end of the week posting 29.18 percent increase to 11.60 Php. Other top performers include, Paxys Inc 11.67 percent (2.68 Php), East Cost Vulcan Mining Corporation at 11.32 percent (0.295 Php), Alsons Group International Inc, 10.41 percent (0.76 Php) and Asiabest Group International Inc. surging 9.24 percent to 52.60 Php.
Decliners meanwhile led the advancers at 90 to 86 with 68 unchanged. Total volume traded was 605,713,137 with a total value of 6,217,421,733.79.
Meanwhile, other indices also performed well except Financials and Industrial declining 0.54 percent and 0.14 percent respectively.
The broader All Shared index meanwhile rose by 0.15 percent at 3,418.40 but Property index was the topnotcher among indices with 0.99 percent or 18.73 points increase at 1,915.54 followed by Mining & Oil at 0.98 percent, Holding firms at 0.44 percent and Services index posting 0.22 percent increase at 3,475.23.
