Kim Chiu is reportedly set to take a vacation leave from ‘It’s Showtime,’ with showbiz insider Ogie Diaz claiming that the actress-TV host may temporarily step away from the noontime program for her mental health.

During a recent episode of ‘Showbiz Update,’ Ogie shared information he had received regarding Kim’s supposed upcoming break.

“Ang narinig ko lang naman ay magba-vacation leave si Kim Chiu,” Ogie said.

“Ang rason daw ay para sa kanyang mental health,” he added.

As of writing, neither Kim nor ‘It’s Showtime’ has officially confirmed the reported vacation leave, including when it would begin or how long she would be away from the program.

The report comes at a particularly eventful time for Kim, who is dealing with a highly publicized legal dispute involving her older sister, Lakambini “Lakam” Chiu, while also being the subject of persistent but unconfirmed pregnancy rumors online.

Mama Loi wondered whether the stress surrounding Kim’s family situation could be among the factors behind the reported break.

“Baka isa rin ‘yan sa nagko-cause ng anxiety or stress, ‘di ba? Kaya baka related ‘yun doon sa reason na mental health sa pagbi-vacation leave,” Mama Loi said.

Kim recently pursued a qualified theft complaint involving funds belonging to House of Little Bunny Philippines, Inc., the company she established with Lakam. Prosecutors have found probable cause to pursue 124 counts of qualified theft against her sister.

Lakam has denied the allegations and maintained that the questioned transactions were connected to business ventures rather than unauthorized use of corporate funds.

Meanwhile, Kim continues to face speculation on social media that she may be pregnant.

The actress has not publicly confirmed or denied the rumors. Paulo Avelino, who has been romantically linked to Kim, has likewise remained silent on the matter.

Ogie and his co-hosts also noticed that Kim’s fellow ‘It’s Showtime’ hosts have apparently avoided joking about the pregnancy speculation on-air—something they found noteworthy given the hosts’ tendency to playfully tease one another about issues circulating online.

“Eh uso du’n ang okrayan, uso du’n ‘yung ‘di ba, laglagan?” Ogie said.

“Ang tanong ngayon, bakit hindi natatalakay, and I’m sure, ang mga hosts ng ‘It’s Showtime’, lalo na siguro si Vice Ganda, alam niya na naglalabasan kung may… ’yung sa baby bump ni Kim Chiu? Bakit hindi siya tinatalakay do’n? Dapat daw sagutin,” he added.

“Lalo na kung hindi totoo,” Mama Loi remarked.

The ‘Showbiz Update’ hosts also discussed Kim’s recent outfits on the noontime show, which some netizens have interpreted as another supposed clue. However, changes in clothing or appearance do not establish whether someone is pregnant.

Ogie further raised the possibility that endorsement agreements could sometimes influence how celebrities publicly handle personal developments, citing his experience as a talent manager. He did not claim, however, that Kim has such provisions in any of her existing contracts.

For now, the reported vacation leave remains unconfirmed, while there is likewise no confirmation of the pregnancy speculation surrounding the actress. Should Kim indeed temporarily step away from ‘It’s Showtime,’ the reason and duration of her absence would ultimately be hers or the program’s to clarify.

LionhearTV remains open to Kim Chiu and her camp should they wish to address the reported vacation leave and other issues surrounding the actress.
