- The newest film that reunites the JaDine loveteam opens today!
- Its movie poster is suspected to be copied from a from a Tony Award–winning stage play written by Mark Medoff
The upcoming film of one of the country’s hottest loveteams—JaDine or James Reid and Nadine Lustre titled ‘Never Not Love You’ is suspected to be copied from a 1979 Broadway play ‘Children of a Lesser God’, which is also a Tony Award-winning stage production written by Mark Medoff.
Based on the color tone, the movie poster of the JaDine reunion romantic-drama flick takes an inspiration from the play’s poster or publicity materials; if the creators would claim not copying the Broadway stage play’s poster.
The play is about the conflicted professional and romantic relationship between deaf former student, Sarah Norman, and her teacher, James Leeds. It was specially written for the Deaf actress Phyllis Frelich, based to some extent on her relationship with her husband Robert Steinberg.
Though the JaDine movie, on the other hand, revolves around Gio (Reid), a freelance graphic designer married to Joanne (Nadine), a former brand manager for a direct-selling company. Their characters paint a situation that a young couple would normally find themselves when faced with challenges in life; realizing that love is essential in every relationship but may not be enough to make it work for the longest time especially when living in a foreign land.
This film is dubbed as a mature film for the two real-life young lovers since it tells the story of two young, carefree and reckless individuals who entered into a relationship, but soon leads to an abrupt ending when their respective dreams take them to separate paths and so as their choices tear them apart in the process.
This is JaDine’s sixth film together, and marks as their reunion film together with Antionette Jadaone after the series they did together in 2016-2017, titled ‘Till I Met You’.
Also, the play is expected to a Broadway revival, which is set to open on April 11, 2018, at Studio 54, directed by Kenny Leon and starring Joshua Jackson and Lauren Ridloff.
